Shalem Medicals is a medical supplies company that offers wheel chairs, beds, oxygen supplies and numerous other Durable Medical Equipment(DME) and supplies to home bound patients. Amskape was in the process of developing an office automation tool for the health care industry. Following a long collaborative effort with Shalem Medicals, in April 2007, Amskape completed the production of its flagship product - Supply DeckTM.

Supply Deck approaches the task of automating of a medical supplies company office from the perspective of an eagle-eyed, office micromanager. The needs to be addressed were:

  1. Automate redundant, error-prone, office operations.
  2. Make information quickly and easily accessible.
  3. Manage patient information securely.
  4. Manage inventory from purchase to retirement.
  5. Manage customer interaction(calls, emails etc) centrally.
  6. Manage care provider information
  7. Generate metrics to measure efficiency of the entire operation.

Supply Deck is a web based application that meets all of the above needs. All sections were designed to share data seamlessly. This makes the generation of complex reports a cinch. The user interface is very intuitive enabling new users to be brought up to speed, very fast. The involvement of Shalem Medicals from the start of the project helped to ensure that the application would pass muster in a live office environment.
